GCC Nations See Population Surge to 57.6 Million in 2023, Up by 11 Million in a Year

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations have witnessed a significant surge in population, with total residents reaching 57.6 million in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 11 million, according to a report by the GCC Statistical Center.

The GCC Statistics Center’s ninth edition of the ‘Atlas of GCC Statistics 2024′ report reveals that the GCC composition stands at 62.4% males and 37.6% females. The population density in the GCC is 23.9 per square kilometer, across a total area of 24 million square kilometers.

GCC Secretary-General Dr. Jassim Mohd Al-Budaiwi underscored the significance of this comprehensive report in the region’s planning and development processes.
