JAKARTA – In an unexpected turn of events, social media influencer Isa Zega has been named a suspect, not in the alleged blasphemy case that has been making headlines, but in a defamation case at the East Java Provincial Police (Polda Jawa Timur) headquarters.
News of Isa Zega’s suspect status was revealed by Yolo Ine, a friend of Nikita Mirzani, on their TikTok account. In a video, Yolo Ine expressed joy upon hearing the news, stating, "I was just informed that Sahrul, also known as Isa Zega, has been named a suspect in a case of defamation at Polda Jawa Timur."
In the video, Yolo Ine playfully mimicked interviewing Isa Zega about the developments in their case, saying, "Sahrul, Sahrul, this is the second time you’re in hot water. What’s your response to this?"
The influencer, who is believed to be transgender, was also asked about their thoughts on potentially returning to jail, as this would be their second such experience.
The developments follow a complaint filed by businesswoman Sandy Purnamasari.
