Nearly 82% of aspiring architects passed the January 2026 Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA), according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). A total of 1,998 out of 2,434 examinees successfully completed the exam, administered by a Board of Architecture led by Chairman Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente, and members Arch. Lynnda Marie B. Laraya and Arch. Miguel C. Guerrero III.
The examination took place on January 20 and 22, 2026, across 13 locations nationwide: NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. Results were released within three working days of the final examination date.
The PRC has indicated that the results for one examinee are currently withheld, pending a review of potential violations of examination regulations.
Those who passed are eligible to register for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration beginning March 23, 2026, through the PRC website, www.prc.gov.ph. Registration requires submission of an accomplished Oath Form, notice of admission, two passport-sized photos, documentary stamps, and a short brown envelope.
Successful examinees are also required to sign the Roster of Registered Professionals. The date and location for a mass oathtaking ceremony for the new architects will be announced at a later date.
