The BBC documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret includes accounts from 10 women, with four describing criminal behavior by Leto. According to the U.K. public broadcaster, some accounts are corroborated by friends and family told about the encounters at the time. Leto, 54, denied the allegations through a statement provided by his representatives to CBC News, stating, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” and calling the claims “absolutely and categorically false.”

The documentary outlines specific allegations from the four anonymous women. According to the BBC, a woman identified as Isabel stated she was 17 when she met Leto, then 30, in Las Vegas in 2002 and alleged he assaulted her in a motel room. A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told CBC News that no sexual assault reports involving Leto have been filed in their jurisdiction.

Prior Accusations and Previous Reporting

The BBC documentary references earlier allegations against Leto, noting that the broadcaster has counted more than 120 separate online allegations regarding his behavior toward women. An investigative report published by digital outlet Air Mail in June 2025 previously included accounts from nine women describing a pattern of predatory behavior, unwanted advances, and exposing himself between 2006 and 2012. Additionally, Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz publicly alleged on social media that Leto assaulted her when she was 17.

According to the BBC, another woman named Alex stated she was 19 when Leto threatened her with sexual assault in a London hotel room in 2013 after she was invited by his assistant. A third woman, Clara, alleged she was 17 when she met Leto at age 34, stating they had sex during the first of about three or four visits to his house. A fourth woman, Etta, alleged she met Leto at a Los Angeles modeling agency in 2014 when she was 16, and that she was sent a non-disclosure agreement in 2016 which she refused to sign.
