Jaume Jardí’s performance has been a bright spot for Nàstic de Tarragona this season. He has reached ten goals for the first time in his professional career. He has been involved in twelve – ten goals and two assists – of the team’s thirty league goals, representing a 40% contribution to the team’s scoring.
The ‘10’ has develop into a key player this season: he is the third player – after Dani Rebollo and Marc Montalvo – to have played the most minutes this season, with 1,949’. He has played 24 matches out of 25 – missing one (against Betis Deportivo) due to a suspension against Villarreal B – and started 23 of them, playing in various positions: he started as an attacking midfielder with Luis César, but likewise played from the right wing to occupy interior positions. With the coach, Jardí scored five goals in ten matches.
The arrival of Cristóbal Parralo introduced a new role for the player: starting from the left wing, something often unpopular among fans, who prefer to see him in other positions.
On this, Jardí downplayed the importance of the position after the match against Atlético Madrileño: “I feel quality. Wherever the coach decides to put me, I will try to give my all and contribute as much as possible, wherever We see. As long as I am on the field, my priority is to help the team and win matches”. In Parralo’s era, the ‘10’ has scored five goals and provided two assists in fourteen matches.
Before Pablo and Antoñín
Jaume Jardí has reached ten goals in 24 league matches. According to @BigData_Nastic, he surpasses the records of Pablo Fernández and Antoñín Cortés last season, who both achieved it after 31 matches. Pablo Fernández finished the season with fifteen goals and three assists, while Antoñín Cortés scored ten goals and provided five assists.
In total, Pablo Fernández participated in 28.6% of the team’s goals in the 2024-2025 season, while Antoñín Cortés contributed 23.8%, in a more collaborative Nàstic attack than this season.
The renewal, on the table
As stated by the Nàstic’s technical secretary, Sergi Parés, in a recent interview, the club has contacted Jaume Jardí’s agents to present him with a renewal offer. There was speculation during the winter transfer window about a possible move to Portugal.
The club is optimistic despite preferring to maintain maximum discretion and prioritize the team’s sporting moment. In his situation, with an offer on the table, are also Óscar Sanz and Álex Jiménez. Marc Álvarez and Dani Rebollo also have contracts expiring on June 30, 2026, but have not yet received any offers.
