Fans are debating whether BLACKPINK member Jennie dropped hints about a romantic relationship with BTS member V in her music video for “Less Than A Lover,” Koreaboo reported. The speculation centers on the styling of the male lead in the video, which some viewers claim was intentionally designed to resemble V.
Did you know? “Less Than A Lover” is the lead single from Jennie’s extended play titled Fallen Angel, which premiered in July.
Fans link male lead styling to V
Supporters of the theory have isolated specific clips from the music video to argue that the male protagonist’s appearance mirrors V. On X, user @koominrchve posted on October 28, 2026, “dw girl i saw ur vision with this mv,” while another account, @aurakookm1n, claimed on October 30 that Jennie decided to “recreate everything in her mv” to address those denying the relationship.
Critics argue styling resembles other former links
Other fans disagree with the V theory, suggesting the actor’s look is not unique to him. Some argue the styling resembles other men previously linked to Jennie. User @moogle000s posted on October 29 that the male lead’s choice of shoes and shorts does not match V’s style, suggesting instead a resemblance to Kai or Nico.
The debate remains split among the fanbase, with some users, such as @utdx8a, admitting they initially thought the actor was V before others suggested it was Kai.

The music video debate coincides with a separate surge in dating rumors. Koreaboo reports that these speculations were recently reignited following an alleged witness account claiming the two were spotted together overseas.
Context: While fans analyze visual cues in music videos, official confirmations regarding the relationship status of Jennie and V have not been issued by their respective agencies.
