John, a resident of Knockaphunta and formerly of 96 McHale Road, Castlebar, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. He was under the care of the staff at Cuan Chaitríona Nursing Home and was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

Family and Community Legacy

John is survived by a large and devoted family, including his wife, Anna, and six children: sons Leigh, Roy, and Dylan, and daughters Alma, Chloe, and Freya. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Milo, Elsie, Leon, Seif, Isla Blue, Arlo, Lennox, Shem, and Lexie.

His passing follows the previous losses of his parents, Martha and William, his sister Julie, his brother Billy, his father-in-law Kevin Jordan, and his brother-in-law Michael O’Brien. He is further survived by his brother Padraic, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and his best friend, Pud (Gerard) Lisibach.
