The Kennesaw State track and field team is splitting its efforts this weekend, sending athletes to compete in both Louisville, Kentucky, and Boston, Massachusetts.
Weekend Competition
Fifty-six KSU athletes – jumpers, vaulters, throwers, and mid-distance and distance runners – will participate in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville on Friday and Saturday. Simultaneously, eleven mid-distance and distance runners will compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston.
Key Athletes to Watch
In Louisville, Kali Terza aims to build on a successful season in the hammer throw, currently ranked 10th in the NCAA with a throw of 21.71 meters (71 feet, 2.75 inches). Amelia Coker will compete in her first pentathlon of the season, while Kaelan Garrity is slated to make his collegiate debut in the heptathlon. Myesha Hall will focus on improving her long jump mark, and Victoria Joyce will attempt to extend her school record in the triple jump. Simon Seid’s pole vault clearance of 5.25 meters (17-2.75) is a new school record and ranks first in Conference USA.
