Local Woman‘s Tip-off Leads to Arrest of Man Holding Husband Hostage
In a dramatic turn of events, a vigilant housewife in Giza‘s Bolak al-Dekrur has helped police apprehend a man who was holding her husband hostage. The woman, who lives within the jurisdiction of the Bolak al-Dekrur Police Station, raised the alarm after receiving a distressing phone call from her husband, a lawyer, who informed her that he was being held captive by a specific individual.
A collaborative effort between the Giza Security Directorate and the General Security Sector led to the swift identification of the captor’s location in a building within the Ahram Police Station’s jurisdiction. The suspect, a local contractor, was arrested, and a gun along with several rounds of ammunition were confiscated from his possession.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, stating that he had held the victim hostage due to an outstanding financial matter related to a previous legal dispute. He admitted that he had not fulfilled his promise to settle the issue.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect, and further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
