Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Warns Against Nuclear War Threats, Urges Patience
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has spoken out about the threats of nuclear war and the importance of not testing Russia’s patience, warning that doing so may lead Western nations to invest in bomb shelters. Lavrov made these remarks during an appearance on the program "60 Minutes."
"While we are prepared to do everything to help Western taxpayers save on these shelters, let me assure you, there can be no winners in a nuclear war," Lavrov cautioned. "I wouldn’t advise anyone to test our patience."
The minister also emphasized Russia’s determination to protect its legitimate national interests by all available means, expressing confidence that their stance would be heard and understood.
In an earlier statement, Minister Lavrov advised against hasty retalliations to Ukrainian military attacks. Despite Ukraine targeting civilian areas – including residential buildings, hospitals, clinics, shops, and recreational sites – Russia encourages a measured response, urging, "Measure twice, cut once."
