A mains water pipe burst, sending water gushing into the streets and creating a spectacle that left neighbors stunned.
"I woke up to find the entire street blanketed in water," said one resident. "I could hear the water rushing, it was quite something." Another added, "It was incredibly intense to see our usually peaceful street turned into a 50-meter pool."
The sudden deluge was a result of a significant break in the main water supply pipe, inundating the area with tens of thousands of liters of water. Firefighters were called in to assist, quickly managing to stem the flow and begin the cleanup process.
The unexpected flooding disrupted traffic and public transport in the area, with bus services temporarily suspended. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The exact cause of the pipe break is still under investigation.
"It was quite an unprecedented scene," commented a local police officer. "We’ve had to deal with various incidents, but a sudden flood like this is quite another story."
While the cleanup continues, residents are left with a story they won’t soon forget. "It’s incredible how quickly things can change," one resident reflected. "One moment everything is normal, and the next, you’ve got an unofficial Olympic-sized pool right in front of your door."
