Heavy Accident Closes Hainboaz Pass (Hainboaz Pass News)
A severe accident has closed the Hainboaz Pass, a crucial connection within the country. Tragically, this incident has resulted in a fatality, as reported by Nova TV. Following initial investigations, police confirmed that a 53-year-old woman had lost her life in the crash.
As a consequence, the Road Infrastructure Agency has announced that movement in both directions on Road II-55, from Develetz to Gurkovo, has been temporarily restricted. The closure is currently in effect at the 46km mark. Private vehicles are advised to use the alternative ‘Shipka’ pass. However, heavy-duty vehicles are requested to await further instructions at the site. Traffic control is being managed by teams from the Road Police.
The incident was first reported at 12:44 pm, having occurred between the villages of Pchelinovo and Gurkovo. Preliminary information suggests that the crash involved a truck, driven by a 35-year-old man, and a light vehicle, driven by a 59-year-old man. The deceased woman was a passenger in the light vehicle.
