Mrs. Kilbane was predeceased by her husband Michael, her son Patrick, her brothers Michael, Francis, Tommy, Paddy, Johnny, and her sister Bridget. She is survived by her loving sons and daughters Christy, Tom, Mary Alice, Breda, and Bernie, as well as her daughter-in-law Nora and sons-in-law Tommy and Laurence. Additional survivors include her grandchildren Lynda (with Owen), Kathleen (with Paul), Kirsty, and Michael, and her great-grandchildren Tom, Matthew, Kate, Niamh, Aidan, and Honor.
Her family also includes sisters-in-law Annie McGreal, Mary McGreal, Mary McDermott, and Sarah O’Neill, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, good neighbors, and friends. The family has requested that the house remain private and asked for family flowers only, with optional donations directed to St. Colman’s Care Centre in Keel, Achill.
Funeral Arrangements and Reposing Details for Mary Kate Kilbane
Mary Kate Kilbane will repose at Lavelle’s Funeral Home in Cashel, Achill (F28 Y0H9) on Monday, September 14, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. On Tuesday morning, her remains will be removed from her residence to St. Joseph’s Church in Bunnacurry, Achill, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. Burial will follow afterwards in Bunnacurry Cemetery.
