Just over a month after his release from prison following a 16-year incarceration, Max B has released his first full-length project in four years: Public Domain 7: The Purge. The 25-song mixtape is the seventh installment in his ongoing Public Domain series.
A New Chapter Following a Lengthy Legal Battle
Max B, a 47-year-old rapper from Harlem, was originally sentenced to 75 years in prison in 2009. The sentence stemmed from his involvement in a 2006 armed robbery in New Jersey that resulted in a death. He was found guilty of felony murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
However, Max B maintained he was in another state at the time of the robbery. His sentence was later reduced to 20 years. He walked free on November 9, 2025, and is currently on parole for five years.
