Pensions in 2025 will continue to be a key focus for the state, with reports suggesting that the maximum pension size will remain unchanged for the next year. According to 24 Канал, citing UNIAN, the government’s budget policy will prioritize minimizing the state budget deficit without altering the current maximum pension amount.

As of January 1, 2024, the maximum pension payment stands at 23,610 UAH. Eligibility for this maximum amount is reserved for specific professionals, including:

  • State servants
  • Scientists
  • Members of Parliament (Narodni Depuțati)
  • Local self-government workers

Additionally, individuals with high official salaries (no less than 50,000 UAH per month) and full insurance periods may also qualify for a higher pension in the future.

The budget policy for 2025-2027 emphasizes reducing the state budget deficit, which was increased earlier to meet the financial needs of the state following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. While pension policy remains a priority, the maximum pension size is expected to stay consistent in the coming year.
