McNeese State University track and field athletes will compete in final indoor events before the Southland Conference Championships, scheduled for February 25-26. Most of the team will travel to Houston for the Howie Ryan Invitational, while select athletes will participate in the Boston University David Hemery Valentine’s Day Invite.
Howie Ryan Invitational Participants
A large contingent of Cowgirls will compete in Houston, including Gabriele Andrews in the 60m and 4x400m. Kennah Bent is entered in the 800m, 60m hurdles, and High Jump. Rheagan Butler will compete in the 60m and Long Jump, while Uxue Castro-Martin will run the 800m and 4x400m. Mya Charles is slated to participate in the Shot Put.

On the men’s side, Michael Berry will compete in the 60m, High Jump, and Long Jump. Reginald Burks is entered in the Shot Put and Weight Throw. Several Cowboys will be competing in longer distances, including Omer El-Fadl (1 Mile, 3000m), Gregory Martin (1 Mile, 3000m), and Ryan McCarthy (3000m, 5000m). Samuel Serrano Borrego will run the 1 Mile.
