Departments, Jakarta – Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar has revealed the kuota jemaah and petugas allocated to Indonesia by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the haji 2025 pilgrimage.

In a working meeting with the DPR at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Monday (30/12), Nasaruddin confirmed that the Indonesian pilgrim quota for 2025 remains unchanged from last year, totaling 221,000 individuals, as provided by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also stated that the current petugas quota stands at 2,210 individuals.

Nasaruddin emphasized that the number of Indonesian petugas for the haji 2025 pilgrimage has decreased compared to haji 2024. Consequently, he pledged to strive for additional petugas quota from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stating, "We will continue to endeavor to secure additional petugas quota, as we did in previous years, to better serve the 221,000 pilgrims."

In 2024, Indonesia received a jemaah quota of 241,000 pilgrims and a petugas quota of 4,421 individuals, following additional quota allocations from the Saudi government. The Minister’s announcement comes as preparations for the upcoming haji season commence, with Indonesia aiming to provide a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience for its citizens.
