Microplastics Found in Prostate Cancer Tumors: A Growing Concern
Researchers have discovered microplastics deep within prostate cancer tumors, sparking new questions about the potential link between environmental pollutants and men’s health. Dr. Stacy Loeb, lead author of the study and a urologist at NYU Langone Health, described the higher concentrations in tumor tissue as “very surprising and concerning.”

Dr. Loeb and her team have secured a grant from the Department of War to conduct a larger study involving 30 prostate cancer patients.
