Headline: Emergency Search in Progress for Missing Skater in Finnsrudtjennet
Subhead: Tight fog and unstable ice pose challenges in extensive air and ground search, as divers prepare to join efforts.
A massive search operation is currently underway for an individual who went missing while ice skating on Finnsrudtjennet late Saturday evening. According to the Innlandet Police District, the skater was reported missing at 21:47. Authorities have deployed substantial resources, both airborne and ground-based, at the scene in a desperate effort to locate the person.
Cops have divulged that along with police resources, both firefighters and drones have been employed to aid in the search. Meanwhile, dive teams are on standby and set to enter the fray, with a thick, blinding fog creating particularly trying conditions. "The ice is not safe and it’s thick fog, which isn’t helping the cause," noted an operations leader within the district, adding, "Our pursuit continues through Sunday."
Innlandet Police, concerned about safety in these frigid waters and worsening weather conditions, has put the word out asking the general public for potential insights that may lead to locating the missing person.
