Headline: Major Shakeup in NTT Police: Key Appointments and Transfers Announced

Kupang, KBC — The NTT Provincial Police (Polda NTT) witnessed significant changes with the announcement of a series of top-level position shuffles by National Police Chief Jenderal Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The reshuffle, detailed in a confidential telegram (TR) numbered ST/2777/XII/KEP/2024 dated December 29, 2024, has brought new faces to crucial roles within the NTT police force.
One of the most notable changes is the appointment of Kombes Pol I Made Sunarta, currently serving as the head of the General Criminal Investigation Division (Irwasda) in Polda NTT, as the new Chief of the Personnel Division (Irbidjemen) at the National Police Headquarters (Itwil V/Itwasum). Sunarta will be replacing Kombes Pol Irwasda, who has been reassigned to another post.
Stepping into Sunarta’s former position as Irwasda Polda NTT is Kombes Pol Murry Mirranda, who has been serving as the head of the NTT police’s Criminal Investigation Division. Mirranda is no stranger to NTT, having previously served as the Chief of Police in Rote Ndao for nearly four years.
Other key personnel changes include:
- Kombes Pol Achmad Muzayin, the auditor at Polda NTT, has been transferred to become the auditor at Polda Jawa Timur.
- AKBP Sajimin, previously the head of the Police Education and Training Division (Dalpers) at Polda NTT’s General Affairs Bureau, has been appointed as the new auditor at Polda NTT.
- AKBP Albertus Andreana, the former head of the Criminal Investigation Division (Reskrimum) at Polda NTT and ex-Chief of Police in Ende, has been assigned to a new role as the assistant for policy implementation at Polda NTT.
- Kombes Pol Ariasandy, the head of the Public Relations Division at Polda NTT, has been reassigned to become the head of Public Relations at Polda Bali. He replaces Kombes Pol Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, who has taken on a new role as a policy analyst at the National Police’s Public Relations Division.
- AKBP Henry Novika Chandra, currently serving as the head of the Dalpers division at Polda NTB, has been appointed as the new head of Public Relations at Polda NTT.
Separately, several police chiefs (Kapolres) in NTT have also been reassigned, as per the confidential telegram numbered ST/2766/XII/KEP/2024 dated December 29, 2024. The transferred Kapolres include those from Sumba Barat Daya, Sikka, Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS), and Timor Tengah Utara (TTU).
The changes come as part of an ongoing effort by the National Police to optimize its leadership and improve performance across the regions. The reshuffle is expected to bring fresh perspectives and new strategies to tackle the challenges faced by the NTT police force.
