Once Caldas confirms Dayro Moreno and Jow Cardona

Osvaldo Hernandez

Once Caldas announced last night the hiring of striker Dayro Moreno. The player finally rejected better offers from Colombia and abroad to wear for the fourth time the shirt of the team with which he won the 2004 Copa Libertadores de América.

He was from 2003 to 2007, from 2010 to 2011, and in 2012. He played with Atlético Paranaense (Brazil), Steua de Bucharest (Romania), Tijuana (Mexico), Junior, Millonarios, Atlético Nacional, plus Talleres, from Argentina.

“I come with the mentality of going around the Olympics,” said Dayro in his speech, at the event held at the Club’s museum in the Palogrande stadium.

The leadership also presented Jow Cardona at the wheel as a new reinforcement, who comes from León, Mexico. In addition, he is 25 years old and has played with Deportivo Cali, Real San Andrés, Cortuluá, Ceará (Brazil), Deportivo Pasto and León (Mexico).

“Happy to come to a team like Once Caldas, great and with history,” said Cardona.

The team will play next Saturday, at 8:00 pm, the ninth date of the first phase of the BetPlay League.

The white box will return to competition after six months of inactivity due to the pandemic. Throughout this period the training was done under Dimayor biosafety protocols, approved by the Ministry of Health.

Everything indicates that the group will travel through Pereira. Coach Hubert Bodhert has all the payroll available, except for Johan Carbonero who suffers a sprained left knee.

The one who did join work was the steering wheel Sebastián Hernández. Tomorrow he will practice soccer at the Palogrande. He will define the traveling payroll.
