Oslo, Norway — In a turn of events that shocked the capital’s commuters, Sporveien, Oslo’s tram operator, was compelled to halt all traffic on Line 2 to and from a central station following a concerning incident.
Avisa Oslo was first to report the incident, citing a chaotic scene that startled those disembarking from the tram. According to Cato Asperud, communications chief at Sporveien, "It’s unpleasant for passengers to arrive by tram, exit, and face such a situation. We had to close the station due to security concerns."
Asperud confirmed that fireworks were directed at tram passengers as they stepped out.
