Title: Aggressive Patient Alarms Per maîtres Ambulatory Clinic; Director Warns of Closure

A man from Bulgaria Boulevard Bridge Connecting to Sofia's Ring Road"</strong></p>”>Pernik, Bulgaria, was arrested for verbally assaulting a duty pediatrician, Dr. Darina Kadyiska, at the "Pediatric Department" of Pernik Multi-Profile Active Treatment Hospital (MBAL) "Rakhila Angelova – Emil Nenkov," as reported by BTA.

The incident occurred during the holidays when personal physicians were not on duty. The hospital director, Emil Nenkov, explained that the influx of patients resulted in a queue, including the man who had to wait 30 minutes with his sick child, leading to his outburst. After a signal was sent to the police, he was arrested.

According to Nenkov, the "Pediatric Department" struggles to maintain its schedule. He deems the aggression "unacceptable," stating that if a couple more specialists leave, the department will close. Pernik’s specialists strive to serve all children, despite the holiday shortage of duty physicians and personal doctors being off-duty. On Christmas Day alone, 108 patients were examined, most of them children.

On the eve of the holiday, the department received a spirometer via the initiative "Kapkani za budushte" (Caps for the Future), which the department director, Dr. Adrian Simeonov, wished for. The hospital earlier applied to "Bulgarian Christmas" for another type of equipment also needed for upgrading. Despite the upgrade, Nenkov emphasizes that a minority of parents’ aggression, despite waiting just 30 minutes, is unacceptable.

During the holidays, occupancy was lower, with 90 patients admitted, while the total capacity is 294 beds across all departments.
