MANADO, NNC – The recent power outage that has disrupted the daily lives of Manado residents is expected to fully recover by this evening. This information comes from the state electricity company, PLN.
Physical restoration work is currently being carried out jointly by PLN technical teams and various stakeholders. The work began at 12:00 noon today, Wednesday (05/11), after PLN identified the causes of the breakdown in Manado’s power grid.
In a statement, PLN said, "Currently, restoration work is focused on replacing damaged equipment and re-energizing the power lines. We aim to complete this work as quickly and safely as possible to minimize the impact of the power outage on the community."
PLN also admitted that the power outage was caused by a combination of factors, including a technical malfunction in one of the power plants and the high demand for electricity during the dry season.
"We are committed to continuously improving the quality and reliability of our power supply. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this power outage," PLN said.
