Ukraine‘s President Zelenksy Invites Elon Musk to Kyiv, Expresses Gratitude for Starlink
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy has praised Elon Musk as a "self-made" innovator, expressing his gratitude for Tesla’s Starlink service that has provided crucial communications access in the country’s war-torn regions. In an interview with Lex Fridman, the president openly welcomed Musk to Kyiv and highlighted the potential of attracting the billionaire’s developments to Ukraine.
Zelenksy commended Musk for his groundbreaking work, stating, "I would like to see him [Musk] on our side as much as possible, supporting us. And yes, I am grateful to him for the Starlink."
He underlined the importance of Starlink in maintaining consistent communication lines on the warfront and in areas affected by the conflict. "I would like him [Musk] to come to Ukraine, to talk with our people, to see our reality," Zelenksy emphasized.
The president noted that Musk’s vision and accomplishments encourage progress globally. "What he [Musk] does moves the world forward," Zelenksy added.
Zelenksy’s outreach to Musk comes as Ukraine faces ongoing battles for connectivity and infrastructure resilience. As the president continues to navigate the crisis, he sees the potential in leveraging Musk’s innovative spirit for Ukraine’s benefit.
