Ukrainian President Stuns With Revelations of Lukashenko‘s Remorse, Then Shocking Proposal

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has revealed a striking conversation he had with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko in the early days of the war. In a podcast with Lex Fridman, released by the President’s office last Sunday, Zelensky shared insights into a troubling dialogue that left him, and potentially the world, taken aback.

Zelensky began by stating that Lukashenko, in their initial conversations, repeatedly insisted he was not responsible for the rockets being launched from Belarus into Ukrainian territory. Lukashenko even went as far as trying to shift blame, reportedly telling Zelensky, "Volodya, it’s not me. I’ve tried to dissuade Vladimir [Putin] from this."

In response, Zelensky calmly but firmly retorted, "You’re just as guilty." To which Lukashenko oddly replied, "We can’t fight against the Russians."

This exchange, incomprehensible as it may seem, was not the most astonishing part of the conversation. Zelensky then recounted an alarming proposition from Lukashenko. In an apparent bid to retaliate, Lukashenko suggested that Ukraine strike the Mozyr Oil Refinery in Belarus, stating it held significant value to him.

The reveal of these exchanges has sent waves of surprise through the international community, offering a piercing glimpse into the convoluted dynamics at play between these leaders.
