Father Recounts Fatal Confrontation Outside Seduction Bar

Peter Ferrier said he was with his son walking back home across the street from the bar when the attack unfolded. According to the elder Ferrier, the suspect had been arguing with another person outside the establishment before turning violent. “When we crossed the road, this guy comes and stabbed him and they fell on the ground,” Peter Ferrier told reporters. Pointing to his own chest, the father noted that his son had been stabbed there, but added, “He was stabbed in his back. I think that is what killed him.”

Following the attack, the younger Ferrier ran into a restaurant where he collapsed. His father stated that the victim told his mother he could not breathe. A friend, Raymond Khan, described hearing the victim screaming “I’m hurt” and grasping for breath in the moments after the incident. Ferrier was transported to the hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead.

Loved ones remember victim as family-oriented person

Family members and friends remembered the 29-year-old as a playful and family-oriented person. “He’s a very jolly kid, he’s 29, but he would come and joke around, he would come hug his mom,” Peter Ferrier said, expressing immediate concern for how his wife would cope with the loss. Khan echoed those sentiments, calling him a very good kid who never got into trouble. Another friend, Leon Barker, noted that Ferrier left behind four children, while neighbor Mohamed Shafeer called the killing a devastating tragedy.
