Salkilld opened the contest aggressively, landing an early uppercut, but was nearly caught by Gamrot in a leg lock. Salkilld escaped the submission attempt, worked his way back into the fight, and eventually secured top control. From there, he locked in the decisive rear-naked choke that forced Gamrot to tap out.
The result marks Salkilld’s sixth win in the UFC. For Gamrot, the defeat represents the second time he has been submitted across his 14-year professional career.
