Snow and Traffic Restrictions Hit Bulgaria; Major Roads Affected
Heavy snowfall started in parts of Western and Central Bulgaria Monday night, causing temporary traffic disruptions. The Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency (API) alerted motorists of the changes in traffic flow.
The speed limit on the "Traкия" motorway, specifically at the "Trajanovi Vrata" tunnel, has been reduced to 50 km/h to ensure safety. In the direction of Varna, two lanes will be designated for traffic in the "Topli Dol" and "Pravushki Hanove" tunnels.
The Trojan Pass is closed to all traffic, while the "Prevala" pass in the Smolyan region is restricted to heavy vehicles with certain tyre markers, as reported by 24 spacing.
