Breaking: Russia‘s FSB Thwarts Ukrainian Attempts to Assassinate High-Ranking Defense Officials in Moscow
In a series of foiled assassination plots, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has thwarted Ukrainian special services’ attempts to target high-ranking Russian Ministry of Defense officials and their family members, TASS reports.
The FSB confirmed the thwarted assassinations were orchestrated by Ukrainian special services. "The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has foiled a series of assassination attempts by agents of Ukrainian special services against the lives of high-ranking Russian military servicemen participating in a special military operation, as well as members of their families," the FSB’s press center stated.
Four Russian citizens involved in planning these attempted assassinations have been identified. According to FSB, bombs intended for the high-profile military targets were disguised as phone batteries and document folders.
The FSB’s swift action has once again underscored its commitment to protecting Russian citizens and thwarting external threats, ensuring the safety and security of Russia’s top defense personnel and their families.
