Breaking News: Russian Warehouse Containing ‘Shahed’ Drone Components Destroyed
In a significant setback for Russia’s military capabilities, a warehouse containing parts for ‘Shahed’ drones was reportedly destroyed in a mysterious fire. The incident occurred on December 23 in the ‘Alabuga’ special economic zone.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (GUR) reported that the warehouse, valued at $16 million, stored components for 65 ‘Shahed’ drone airframes, along with engines, navigation systems, and thermal cameras sufficient to assemble another 400 units. Regrettably, all the munitions were consumed in the blaze.
Russia has been heavily reliant on ‘Shahed’ drones, often deploying them as kamikaze weapons against Ukrainian cities. The destruction of this stockpile is a considerable blow to their aerial warfare capabilities.
In a statement, the GUR emphasized that such incidents are not isolated, indicating a recurring pattern of setbacks for Russia’s military-industrial complex. They reinforced their commitment to justice, vowing retribution for each war crime committed against the Ukrainian people.
