December 2024: Russia‘s Most Expensive Month in Ukraine War
In a grim tally, Ukraine’s General Staff reports that December 2024 was the most costly month of Russia’s invasion, with a total of 48,670 casualties, surpassing the 45,680 losses sustained in November. This marks the sixth consecutive month that Russian forces have incurred heavier losses than the previous month.
