Russian Forces Bypass Ukrainian Mines, Gain Strategic Advantage on Pокровск-Konstantinivka Highway
Russian forces have successfully navigated past Ukrainian minefields and breached the crucial Pокровск-Konstantinivka highway, according to reports from the Telegram channel "War Correspondents of the Russian Spring."
In a daring maneuver, Russian troops comprising two tanks and three BMPs with infantry support set out from Vozdvizhenka towards the Pокровsk-Konstantinivka road on January 7. Along the way, one Russian vehicle was disabled, but the remaining units skillfully circumvented Ukrainian minefields and secured a position on the highway, as reported by Ukrainian sources.
Subsequently, the Russian forces disembarked their infantry and the vehicles retreated back towards Vozdvizhenka, the sources added.
However, claims by Ukrainian propagandists that the Russian equipment was later destroyed have been refuted by Ukrainian servicemen themselves, as noted by the "War Correspondents" channel.
This development could have significant implications for the ongoing conflict, potentially facilitating Russian supply lines and troop movements along the strategic highway.
