Sean Neary, a resident of Rowan Drive, Castlebar, unexpectedly passed away on February 1st, 2026, at Mayo University Hospital. He was formerly of Magherafadda, Ballyheane, Castlebar.
A Life Remembered
Mr. Neary is remembered as a dearly loved husband to Caroline (née McLoughlin) and a devoted father to Serena, Karen, and Sarah. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Byron and his partner Becca, Kyle, Ayla, Emily, Owen, and Sean.
He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Geoffrey Bourke, Kieran Biggins, and Geoffrey Conboy, as well as his brothers Peter, Mattie, Seamus, and Tom. His sisters-in-law include Jenny, Martina, Veronica, Maria, Chrisy, and Joan, and his brothers-in-law are Tommy, John, Benny, and Dick. He leaves behind a wide circle of family, relations, and friends.
Viewing and Funeral Arrangements
Mr. Neary will repose at his home, 71 Rowan Drive, Castlebar F23 D594, on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The family requests privacy outside of these hours, except for close family and friends.
The funeral is scheduled to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyheane, on Wednesday, February 4th, for Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Following the Mass, Mr. Neary will be laid to rest in Ballyheane Cemetery.
