Oslo Police Deployed to Rodeløkka amid Reports of Serious Assault
In the early hours of January 1, 2025, Oslo police were dispatched to the Rodeløkka neighborhood following reports of a severe act of violence. Upon arrival, they discovered an individual inside a residence with what appeared to be stab wounds.
"One person has been found indoors with what seems like stab injuries," confirmed Operation Leader Eirik Sannes of the Oslo Police District at 05:19. "The person is receiving medical treatment at the scene. The extent of their injuries is unknown."
In an update approximately 20 minutes later, police reported that the victim had been transported to a hospital.
The incident, which was reported at 05:19, saw four individuals detained in connection with the case, with a fifth person brought in for questioning. When asked about the possibility of more arrests, Sannes did not rule out the possibility.
