Breaking: Injured Parties Airlifted to Hospital After Ringerike Crash
A serious traffic collision between two vehicles on the stretch between Sokna and Veme in Ringerike has led to multiple injuries, with at least one person being airlifted to hospital. The incident was reported around 3 pm on Friday, December 27.
"Initially, we received reports of a person trapped in one of the vehicles," said Operations Leader Espen Reite. "However, the door was opened by bystanders before police arrived." The driver of one vehicle was severely injured, while two others from the second vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to Reite. All injured parties were transported to Ringerike Hospital.
In a later update, police confirmed that the severely injured person was transferred to a helicopter ambulance for immediate medical attention.
