Traffic disruptions and temporary heat outages plagued Kyiv residents today as a result of a ruptured heat main on the intersection of Volodymyrska and Lysenko streets, near Kyiv’s main railway station. According to official sources, police and emergency services are on the scene managing traffic and repairing the damage.

The incident, reported by the official Patrol Police of Kyiv Telegram channel and local Telegram news sources, caused significant disruption to vehicle movement in the area. Drivers should expect delays and adjust their routes accordingly.

An eyewitness video shared by Ukrainian news outlet pravda.com.ua on Twitter shows cars submerged in hot water due to the pipe burst. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Kyiv City State Administration (KSG) provides updates, stating that over 230 houses have temporarily lost heat due to the incident. However, city officials are working swiftly to restore services within the next 24 hours, with only six buildings relying on mobile boilers until full heat restoration.

The incident also caused damage to nearby buildings, including a hostel (unoccupied at the time) and an administration building.

Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops. In the meantime, drivers are advised to use caution and adjust their routes to avoid the affected area.
