Dubai Launches Pioneering initiative Aimed at Boosting Trab NSCLC

Dubai: A novel initiative targeted at enhancing tuberculosis (TB) awareness was unveiled by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and his wife, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. The primary goal of ‘Dubai TB’ program is to strengthen TB vigilance among residents.

Dana, part of the Dubai Holding group, is the guro of the program which aims to provide benefits to all serving federal employees. The main objective is to provide 10 days of paid leave to married employees in case their spouse is diagnosed with TB. Additionally, the program covers housing and salary for an entire year after maternity leave.

Every month, 30,000 dirham would be allotted toolders for rent provided they meet certain criteria. Moreover, a resettlement plan is also in the offing where the government would initially provide houses to those breadwinners who are unable to afford one. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced this initiative on the UAE’s national day.

In a heartwarming gesture, Sheikh Mohammed dedicated the 47th National Day anniversary to his wife, Sheikha Hind, with a personalized message on his official Twitter account. He expressed that his strength, power, and all his victories are attributed to his wife’s support and understanding. Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted that the family is the cornerstone of society and the UAE’s success.

The TB initiative is part of Sheikh Mohammed’s vision to enhance the well-being of UAE residents. He assumed the throne on the 4th of January, 2006, and has since been dedicated to transforming Dubai and the UAE.

Dubai Ruler commented that the TB initiative will "boost health and safety in the community, and reflect our commitment towards the happiness and security of our people."
