In a daring daylight heist, an intruder smashed a window and made their way into a residential home in Stavanger, while the homeowners were seated in the lower level. The audacious burglary has left the police puzzling over the precise value of stolen jewelry, estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands.
The Stavanger Police District received the alarming report on Friday evening. According to the authorities, an unidentified individual forced entry into the victim’s home by damaging a window and gaining access to the upper floor, while the homeowners remained unaware in the lower level.
Upon arrival, officers found the crime scene to be meticulously ransacked, with contents of drawers and cabinets scattered about the room. The homeowners, spine-chillingly unaware of the intrusion, later confirmed that valuable jewelry had vanished. Despite securing potential evidence, the police currently have no suspects in custody.
"There were indicated values of hundreds of thousands," Sør-Vest Police District’s lead investigator, Kristian Bakkan Vika, told VG, refusing to provide an exact figure as the警方 continues to assess the total loss. The investigation is ongoing.
