According to reports, Aryajith and three of his friends had gone to a pond in Thanneermukkom to swim. While they were in the water, Aryajith is said to have slipped and fallen into a nearby sand extraction pit. Despite the immediate efforts of his friends and locals, they were unable to rescue him.
Aryajith’s body was later retrieved from the pit by the fire and rescue services. The family members are in a state of shock and grief. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the local authorities.
