Sukabumi on Alert: Measles Cases Rise, But No Emergency Declared
The Sukabumi City Health Office (Dinkes) is urging residents to be vigilant against the spread of measles, following the confirmation of 23 cases from late 2025 through March 2026. Despite the increase, authorities maintain that the situation is currently under control and an Extraordinary Occurrence (KLB) status is not yet warranted.

The cases were detected through active monitoring and investigation of public health complaints exhibiting typical symptoms of the infectious disease. According to Ida Halimah, Head of the Sukabumi City Health Office, preventative measures are being intensified to anticipate wider spread. Of 32 suspected cases identified, laboratory tests confirmed 23 as positive for measles.
