Rapper T.I. has announced his intention to retire from music following the release of his upcoming album, Kill The King. The artist revealed his plans during an interview at the 2026 Grammy Awards, stating that the project will be his last.
A Long-Awaited Final Act
The forthcoming album was initially announced in 2021. The lead single, “LET ‘EM KNOW,” was recently released, featuring production by Pharrell. T.I. confirmed to Entertainment Tonight on February 1st that this album marks the end of his recording career. “It’s a blessing, man. ‘LET ‘EM KNOW,’ produced by Pharrell. My first single off of my final album. I’m gonna be done. They should know it,” he said.
This decision follows a previous announcement in October 2024, where T.I. stated he was retiring from performing live. His final concert as a rapper was at 96.1 The Beat’s Jingle Ball in Atlanta, where he indicated he no longer desired to perform for financial compensation.
