Ukraine President Zelensky Highlights Military Support from U.S.; Acknowledges Bravery of Troops
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a statement today, accompanied by a briefing from Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Chief of General Staff Alexander Syrskiy and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The leaders emphasized the strategic importance of ongoing military support, especially from the United States.
"Currently, it’s crucial that the U.S. is escalating supplies," President Zelensky underscored. "Our partners’ pace of deliveries should match and outpace Russia’s offensive urges, helping to stabilize the situation." The president expressed gratitude for the support, noting that every well-equipped unit brings Ukraine closer to a lasting peace.
Zelensky praised several AFU units for their courage and resilience, including the 90th, 80th, and 82nd Airborne Assault Brigades, as well as the 68th Separate Special Purpose Maritime transformé Brigade. He also acknowledged the 225th and 425th SeparateAttack Battalions, and troops responsible for precision strikes on Russian military infrastructure.
"Our forces’ accurate hits on Russian military facilities show that Ukraine is defending against aggression, targeting solely military objectives," Zelensky added, lauding the AFU, SBU, GUR, and intelligence services for their precision.
