Train Carrying Russian Military Supplies Destroyed in Подмосковье Blast
Article:
A powerful explosion at a railway depot in the Moscow suburb of Воскресенск on the night of December 27 has destroyed several carriages of a train used for logistical purposes by the Russian military. The Ukrainian military intelligence service (GUR) has released video footage of the incident, which has caused significant losses to the Russian aggressor, although the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Earlier attempts by Russian propagandists to deny the explosion and fire at the station have been refuted by the GUR’s footage. The GUR hints that the act could be the work of resistance groups opposed to the Putin regime, whose activities are reported to be escalating as the war in Ukraine continues.
This latest incident follows a series of setbacks for Russia‘s logistical operations:
- Earlier this month, a large fire at the economic zone in Tatarstan destroyed a warehouse containing components for Iranian Shahed-136 drones.
- In late November, a Russian An-72 military transport plane exploded at an unidentified airbase in the Moscow region.
The Ukrainian military has not claimed responsibility for the blast, but the GUR’s statement appears to suggest growing dissatisfaction and resistance to the Russian war effort among its own people. The Kremlin continues to deny any Setbacks in its supply chain and operations in Ukraine. As the conflict enters its second year, the resilience and ingenuity of the Ukrainian people remain a significant challenge for the Russian military.
