Born on January 10, 1959, Darnaud was remembered fondly by his son, Manol, who shared the news on Facebook. "Yesterday, my father Boji Darnaud passed away at the age of 66. Many of you will remember him from these pictures. Those were the times we all long for. I am proud that my father was a part of those emotions."

Darnaud’s funeral will be held at Burgas’ Central Cemetery this Sunday at 11:30 AM. In tribute, Manol wrote, "Let’s remember him as the good man he was."

Meanwhile, his loyal dog, discovered alongside him, is battling for its life, and rescue teams are appealing for a temporary home for the canine.

Rescuers were alerted when Nikolay’s mother recognized him as her son onSunday, Dec 22, around 7:30 PM. Her discovery was made possible by a strayfemale dog reportedly accompanying the boy. Upon examination byveterinarians, the dog was found to be severely malnourished andstressful, with a dire prognosis.

The Mother’s DistressingResponse

Nikolay’s mother,externally distraught, has refused to take back the dog, stating, "I don’twant to see it." The dog is described as a female with a playfulnature, despite its precarious health. The mother had earlierissued a curious command to the dog, "Lead me to Nicky,"but the trail led them to an abandoned house by the village’slake, where Nikolay was not found.
