The incident began when IH (34), the husband of the pregnant woman, attempted to dodge a stranded vehicle on the road, accidentally hitting a bystander with his car’s side mirror. Megamendung Police Chief, AKP Dedi Hermawan, explained that the situation escalated as one of the perpetrators punched IH’s car.

"Unveiling 4 Key Facts: The 2 Prime Suspects Linked to the Bogor Puncak Bus Incident"

Bogor’s Road Rage: Two ‘Pak Ogah’ Puncak Bogor Suspects in Pummeling Incident

In an escalating road rage incident on the alternative Puncak Bogor route, two ‘Pak Ogah’ individuals are now suspects after a viral video showed them assaulting a motorist. The incident, which initially seemed to end peacefully, took a turn when the wife of the victim was potentially exposed to miscarriage, prompting the victim to pursue legal action.

The Incident Unfolds

The video shows the victim, IH, driving his car before an altercation occurred. IH, feeling frustrated, got out of his car and approached the ‘Pak Ogah’ group. A friendly exchange turned physical, with the ‘Pak Ogah’ assisting in a beating of the motorist. The video concluded with IH’s wife intervening and being pushed back by the assailants.

A Failed Attempt at Reconciliation

Initially, things seemed to cool down. IH and his wife filed a police report, and the three ‘Pak Ogah’ were temporarily detained. A peaceful settlement was brokered between the parties, with a signed statement of understanding. However, the victim’s wife’s health complications revoked their agreement.

Miscarriage Fears and Legal Action

Subsequently, the victim’s wife received medical attention and was diagnosed with a potential miscarriage. Distraught by this news, the victim decided to press charges. "Initially, we thought the case was settled amicably, but the victim’s wife suffered a miscarriage, which redirected the case back to the police," explained the investigating officer, AKP Teguh Kumara.

Two Suspects Arrested, Third Still at Large

In response, the police promptly arrested two suspects, R and J, who are currently in custody. They are charged under articles 170 and 335 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP), which pertain to physical assault and threats. A third suspect is still at large, and the police urge him to surrender spontaneously.

Possible Imprisonment and Public Appeal

If convicted, the two suspects could face up to five years in prison. Kapolres Bogor AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro emphasized, "The maximum penalty for this crime is five years in prison." Meanwhile, the police are actively searching for the remaining suspect, publicly urging him to turn himself in voluntarily.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation to Launch Cibinong-Puncak Bus Route in February 2025

Bogor‘s Puncak to See New Bus Services by 2025

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia — The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is gearing up to launch public bus services on the Cibinong-Puncak route in Bogor Regency, West Java. These services are expected to commence operations by February 2025.

According to Deputy Minister of Transportation Suntana, the new bus route aims to provide an alternative mode of transportation for residents and tourists heading to the Puncak area. "This will ensure they don’t have to rely on motorcycles and other vehicles," he said, as reported by Antara on Wednesday, December 25.

The program is government-subsidized and aims to introduce around 15-20 bus units serving the Cibinong to Puncak route and vice versa. Suntana explained that the subsidy aims to keep ticket prices affordable. "Residents can park their motorcycles in Karadenan or other designated areas and then take the bus at a very low cost," he said.

The new bus service is not only expected to provide convenience but also help alleviate traffic congestion and reduce road accidents on the popular Puncak tourist route. Suntana acknowledged that traffic congestion in the area remains a challenge, and the one-way system is being considered as a short-term solution. However, the ministry is also working with the Ministry of Public Works to develop long-term infrastructure solutions, such as the Cikampek Toll Road and the extension of the Puncak II route.

This initiative is part of Kemenhub’s ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and services in the region.

Bogor: Wife’s Potential Miscarriage Derails Peaceful Settlement in ‘Pak Ogah’ Road Incident

In a turn of events, a woman’s potential pregnancy complication has scuppered a previously agreed peaceful settlement in a case involving ‘Pak Ogah’, a local road enforcer, and a motorist in Bogor, West Java.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 22, during the year-end holiday season, when a driver, identified as IH, accidentally hit a pedestrian on the Puncak Megamendung alternate route. Three ‘Pak Ogah’ figures, who often collect money from passing vehicles, surrounded IH’s car, demanding payment. IH’s wife, unaware of the situation, stepped out to investigate the commotion and was subsequently struck by one of the ‘Pak Ogah’ figures.

The couple later filed a police report at the Megamendung Police Station. Following the incident, all parties agreed to settle the matter amicably with the assistance of police mediation. However, this agreement has now been revoked due to IH’s wife’s current health condition.

"IH and his wife have decided to discontinue the mediation process and file a police report instead," revealed AKP Teguh Kumara, the head of the Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit, on Thursday, December 26. This decision was influenced by the discovery that IH’s wife is pregnant and has a potential risk of miscarriage, a complication directly attributed to the physical altercation.

Police have since arrested two of the three ‘Pak Ogah’ figures involved in the incident, charging them under articles 170 and 335 of the Indonesian Criminal Code. The remaining suspect is still at large and being actively sought by authorities.

"Two of the suspects have been apprehended and are currently in custody. We are still pursuing the third suspect, who is currently at large," said AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro, the Bogor Police Chief.

The incident serves as a grim reminder of the ongoing issue of roadside enforcers, or ‘Pak Ogah’, and their often heavy-handed tactics towards motorists in Indonesia. As the holidays approach, police have warned of increased enforcement to prevent similar incidents from occurring.

Christmas Traffic Congestion Eases with Alternating Traffic Regulation in Bogor‘s Puncak Area

BOGOR, Indonesia – The long weekend has brought a surge in traffic congestion to the Puncak area in Bogor, as residents and tourists take to the roads for their end-of-year getaways. In response, local police have implemented an alternating traffic, or ‘ganjil-genap’ (odd-even) policy, to ease traffic flow during the busy Christmas period.

The regulation, which began today, allows vehicles with odd and even registration numbers to use the roads on alternating days. This strategy has been successful in the past in managing heavy traffic, particularly during long holidays.

"We understand the frustration of motorists stuck in traffic. We urge everyone to cooperate with the traffic plan and stay patient," said a local police spokesperson. "We’re doing our best to ensure everyone reaches their destinations safely and smoothly."

Road users are advised to check the schedule and plan their trips accordingly. The police reminder comes as a timely precaution to prevent gridlock and accidents, ensuring a pleasant journey for all.

The incident, which took place in the popular tourist destination along the Puncak_CAPs, has sparked outrage among netizens and led to the guide’s immediate arrest.

The unsuspecting tourist had agreed to an initial price, only to be shocked by the steep increase once they reached their destination. In a video that has since circulated on TikTok, the irate tourist can be seen confronting Bokep, who initially tried to dodge responsibility.

"’You can’t do that,’ said the motorist, ‘We agreed on a price at the start,’" the woman is heard saying in the clip. Bokep attempted to justify his actions, claiming that the increased price was for helping beyond the main road, but the motorist was having none of it.

"’You didn’t mention that at the beginning,’ she shot back, ‘"I only have Rp 150,000, and I’ve been driving around for two hours. If it’s going to be Rp 850,000, I might as well drive myself," she concluded, clearly exasperated.

Following Bokep’s capture, Kapolsek Megamendung AKP Dedi Hermawan confirmed the incident and assured the public that the personnel involved were being dealt with accordingly.

In a statement, Korporal Edi Santosa of Polsek Cisarua acknowledged the seriousness of the matter. "We’re currently investigating the incident to ensure such occurrences do not recur, thereby maintaining the safety and satisfaction of all tourists visiting the Puncak region."

The police have since released Bokep on the condition that he reports regularly. Despite the victim’s forgiveness, the police are continuing their investigation, aiming to maintain the safety and enjoyment of tourists in the area.
