Riau, Indonesia – The future of honorer tendik (honorary educators) with code R3 following the recent PPPK (Penyelenggaraan Pembelajaran dan Pelayanan Pendidikan) 2024 stage 1 results hangs in the balance. These educators are questioning if they will still have jobs or be moved to part-time PPPK roles.
Eko Wibowo, chairman of the Regional Solidarity Tendik Association (SNWI) in Riau, voiced his concerns, "The fate of our R3 colleagues needs to be addressed. They are non-ASN (Ad身体a Sipil Nasional) staff in BKN‘s database, and this issue requires central government clarification."
Wibowo, Informally known as Ekowi, urged Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Rini Widyantini, the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to address the R3 issue, which lacks the ‘L’ (lulus) code, a novel problem.
Thousands of honorer tendik with R3 codes are anxious about their employment status. Will they retain their jobs, or will they be reassigned to part-time PPPK roles?
"If KemenPAN-RB and BKN do not clarify the fate of these R3 educators who did not clear the PPPK 2024 stage 1, it may lead to further confusion in the subsequent stages," Wibowo warned.
He emphasized the urgent need for the central government to issue regulations for R3 status, as hundreds of thousands of honorer educators remain pending after the PPPK 2024 stage 1 results.
"We don’t want to prolong this issue, dragging it on for years without resolution," Wibowo added, expressing the hope for a swift conclusion to this matter.
The fate of these honorer tendik, classified under code R3, now hangs on government intervention and clarification, as they await their employment prospects following the PPPK 2024 stage 1 results.
