Jay-Z will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Oct. 23, marking his first solo concert in Los Angeles in eight years. The performance, titled “JAY-Z30,” commemorates the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album, “Reasonable Doubt.” According to Roc Nation, tickets for the event will be available through a presale starting June 11, with general sales beginning June 12 via livenation.com.
The significance of the 30th anniversary
The upcoming show celebrates a career-defining project that the Recording Academy inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame in May 2025. According to the Recording Academy, Jay-Z independently produced “Reasonable Doubt” after failing to secure a contract with a record label. This necessity led him to co-found Roc-A-Fella Records alongside Damon Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke. Although the album only reached No. 23 on the Billboard 200 in 1996, it served as the launchpad for the artist who is now the most celebrated rapper in Recording Academy history.

How the streaming landscape has shifted
Fans have broader access to the album today than in previous years. According to KTLA, “Reasonable Doubt” became available on major streaming services for the first time in February. This marks a significant change from the artist’s previous distribution strategy, which restricted his catalog to Tidal. Jay-Z purchased the streaming service in 2015 but sold his majority share in 2021, according to KTLA.
What fans can expect in Los Angeles
The October show in Inglewood may mirror the format of his upcoming New York appearances. According to Billboard, Jay-Z is scheduled to perform three sold-out nights in New York from July 10 to 12, with the July 10 show dedicated to “Reasonable Doubt.” This New York residency offers a potential preview of the production and setlist for the Los Angeles audience. Before arriving in California, the artist is also slated for a performance at the Stade de France in Paris.
Ticket access and availability
Prospective attendees have two primary windows to secure seats. According to Roc Nation, a presale begins June 11 at 10 a.m. PT for Citi and Mastercard holders, as well as subscribers to the JAŸ-Z30 platform. General public tickets will follow on June 12 at 10 a.m. PT through Live Nation. This event follows the artist’s recent return to the stage at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, which served as his first headlining set since 2019, according to Billboard.
