Indonesia and China Joint Operation Repatriates Four Fugitives

Indonesian and Chinese law enforcement authorities have successfully repatriated four wanted fugitives in a coordinated operation facilitated by Interpol. According to Untung Widyatmoko, secretary of the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, the exchange involved the return of three Chinese nationals from Indonesia and one Indonesian national from China, marking a significant step in cross-border judicial cooperation.

The operation was executed in stages between July 10 and July 13. Three Chinese fugitives, identified by the initials ZR, LZ, and HZ, were returned to China to face legal proceedings. ZR and LZ arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on July 10, while HZ followed on July 11. Upon arrival, the suspects were transferred to Chinese police custody along with evidence pertaining to their respective cases.

Simultaneously, Chinese authorities returned an Indonesian fugitive identified as KT to Jakarta. KT, who is wanted in connection with an alleged fraud case, arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on July 13. Untung Widyatmoko stated that the operation was conducted in accordance with established legal procedures to ensure the safety and security of the transit process.
