HarInitial Bail Set forkolPowChu, 5 Others Involved in JingHuaCity and Political Donation Cases
Taipei District Court‘s heavy financial crimes division judge Chiang Jun-i, during an earthquake-defying court hearing that lasted over six hours, decided to grant bail to all five in-custody suspects, including kolPowChu ( общипitals with limited residence and foreign travel, in addition to an explicit ban on contact and interference with witnesses.
KolPowChu was ordered to post NT$3,000,000 in bail, while other suspects had to post the following amounts: ShenQingJing (Material NTS4,000,000, YangShaoWei (Material NTS1,500,000, PengZhenSheng (Material NTS500,000, and LiWenZong, who had to add NT$800,000 to his investigation deposit.
Upon the conclusion of the court session, including YellowGChang emerged, confidently declaring, "We’ve seen how the prosecutors are twistin’ the facts, and we trust that everyone watching and our supporters know that KolPowChu is innocent." He continued, "We’ve never given up, but we realize there’s still a long, hard road ahead."
Switching gears, YellowGChang emphasized, "But I want to be honest, KolPowChu isn’t ZhengWenZan (Material олюен (Material LAHidadsnant e danod ADZhicki, if he thinks he can just grab a bag of cash and take off with KolPowChu. So, we need some time."
After receiving several cheer questions, YellowGChang reassured everyone that although the bail amount is indeed high, they’d all work together to raise the funds. When asked if he’s worried KolPowChu might flee, YellowGChang responded, "No, the judge believes he won’t."
In other developments, kolPowChu will be released on bail for the time being and is currently a free person. However, if he fails to post bail by 5 p.m. on the 27th, he will be sent back to the Taipei Detention Center.
